Beach

Two of you. Against wind, sun and opponents.

In beach volleyball there is no setter run and no libero. Instead you have to master everything and make every decision as a pair. Next Rotation Beach aims to build exactly this game sense.

Learning areas

What makes the difference on sand.

These modules are being planned. We decide with the test teams which ones we build first.

Planned

Hand signals

Block and serve signals behind the back: read them, give them, understand them. With a speed quiz.

Planned

Court sides

Who passes, who blocks, who defends? Left and right, blocker and defender.

Planned

Shot selection

Cut, line, poke, high ball: which shot against which block and which defence.

Planned

Wind & sun

Serving with and against the wind, using side switches well.

Planned

Tournaments & rankings

How youth tournaments, points and entries work. Easy to follow for parents too.

Planned

Partner communication

Calls before, during and after the rally. Short, clear, loud.

Beach know-how

Small rules, big impact.

  • Switch sides every 7 points in sets 1 and 2, every 5 points in the third set
  • Best of three sets to 21, a possible third set to 15
  • No fixed positions and no rotation rule like indoors, but a fixed serving order
  • The block counts as the team's first contact

Based on the official beach volleyball rules. Youth tournament regulations may differ; the respective regulations always apply.

If you understand indoor, you read the game on sand faster. And vice versa.

Many athletes play both. We connect the learning paths instead of separating them.
